This bicycle and pedestrian bridge has a unique attribute, it is partly below water level. Costs, comfort, social safety and spatial integration were important drivers in the design process. The bridge stands free from the supports and abutments of surrounding bridges and connects with the ground at a good distance. This creates a clear overview of the situation.
