Ski jumps are normally designed to facilitate large competitions with enormous infrastructure and logistics. When more than 15,000 people come to this fragile valley, the form of the architecture seizes to exists, as its operational function holds the crucial role. But on the everyday situations, when few of the young ski jumpers would come to train in solitude, its simplicity, respect toward the site and robustness is awaken again.

Maria Park is a new public green area in the center of Vejle, a medium-sized municipality in Denmark ... The park is a centrally located green pivot point which easily accommodates large music and sporting events, a cozy picnic between trees, ice skating in the winter months, roller skating, ball games and much more … Sound system, stage spots and coloured lights can be activated by the public via smartphones and Bluetooth.

The program presents this new skatepark as a skate-square. The project works with the limits of the area, taking advantage of the gradients and the containment of the slopes in order to place all the elements for skate.

The location of Israel Square is rich in opportunities and stretches between two worlds: the bustling covered market where thousands of people pass every day and the lush H.C. Ørsteds Park, where the people of Copenhagen enjoy the green space in the middle of the city. Israel’s Square is placed on top of the historic ramparts, which used to surround the city of Copenhagen, and was in the 1970’s rebuilt into a parking lot with Northern Europe’s largest underground parking garage.

A’Beckett Urban Square is a temporary ‘pop-up’ recreational space that has become an instant magnet for students and young urban dwellers. Located behind the Swanston Academic Building the site had been used by RMIT University for many years as an open air car park. While the site awaits redevelopment, RMIT has generously opted to turn this underutilised and derelict space into a publically-accessible 2,800 square metre ‘pop-up’ park incorporating multi-use sports courts ...

Heerenschürli serves as a hybrid sports complex and public park, giving the neighborhood facilities for organized sports as well as general leisure activities. A public square with seating and a restaurant are integrated into the complex; the lawns themselves are also public - openly accessible during the off-hours of the local athletic clubs.
